Baby-lates with Ashley Thompson
Baby-lates is for the multi-tasker in all of us. This class incorporates your baby into your workout. It’s workout, play time, and social time for Parents and Babies...all at once! Recommended for newborn - toddler. |
Creative Movement with Tatiana Johnson
This class is open for all levels and welcomes children who are either beginning or continuing to explore various ways in which the body can move. We will be practicing various dance techniques, examining how the body can discover different ways of expression through improvisation, stillness, and a variety of loco-motor movements. Students will learn how to express themselves using all parts of the body, including facial expressions and the singing/speaking voice. They will explore the interaction between music and dance and realize the ways in which they are connected. In each class students will study a basic modern dance combination in which the various skills they are learning will be present. |
Creative Movement with Ashley Thompson
Great for children of all ages. This class is a wonderful exploration of ideas, every day movements, and dance forms ranging from Ballet to Jazz, Modern to African. The concept of movement/dance as another form of language is introduced and expanded on with themes such as animals, space journeys, colors, working together, basic science concepts such as the phases of water, and MUCH MORE. Once basic ideas are introduced, children will be asked for their ideas and choreography to make dances for the class. Your child will learn, create, express themselves, and I promise, come home having worked off some energy! |
Bebe y Yo classes with Ashley Thompson
Dance and Spanish at the same time! Through movements and dance we will teach little ones spanish fundamentals. Topics such as Animals, Numbers, Feelings, and Colors will be introduced. |
Baby and Me Movement and Sign Language with Ashley Thompson
Dance is a form of communication. Sign Language uses the body to speak. In this class we take signs that baby can begin to use at home and in the world and turn them into movements and dances. We teach baby sign language and begin to express ideas and tell stories by making the signs a little bigger and adding motion to them. |
Baby and Me Music with Musiic Galloway

Come love, learn, and play music with your child for a wonderful parent child music experience. Learn rhythms through movements and introduce your child to their first instruments. Teach your child to love music in an atmosphere where adults are singing and dancing to the tunes that we love! |

African Sweat with Nzingha Camara
This class will have your heart soaring and your body sweating. Live drums, along with West African Dances, move your body along the floor and lift your spirit in the process. Until Nzingha returns, come and share in the spirit with some of her students. Great for Beginners and Advanced students. |
Beginning/West African Dance with Tatiana Johnson
This class is for those who seek a basic understanding of West African dance. The variety of authentic dances that will be taught are mostly from the Malinke cultural traditions which come primarily out of Guinea, Senegal, and Mali. Students will acquire basic information about the traditional and spiritual implications of each dance being taught. They will learn the various drum rhythms which are associated with specific dances and gain an understanding of the important relationships that exist between the musicians and the dancers. This class will also explore ways in which traditional West African dance can transform into contemporary movement and thereby open the possibility of discovering fresh new ways of expression through dance. |
Ballet/Modern with Raelle Dorfan
We will plant the roots of traditional ballet technique and modern dance through barre warm-up, technical footwork exercises, traveling across the floor movement and fun-filled combinations. Students will improve upon coordination skills, posture and gracefulness, as well as improving their strength, coordination and flexibility while focusing on correct body alignment. We will indulge in the essence that dance is designed to develop mind, body and spirit through expressive movement. Ballet shoes recommended, no experience neccessary. Disney, classical and modern music of today will be used. |
Ballet/Modern with Nicole La Cour
Ballet/Modern combo class incorporates the two dance styles to create lyrical, staccato, linear as well as curved movements set to contemporary and ‘old school’ music. Dancers will be asked to contribute to the creation of movement phrases throughout the session. Tight fitted attire and bare feet are recommended. |
Belly dance with Rosanna Rizutto
Belly dance is fun, celebratory, and suitable for all ages, males and females.
Belly dance is a Western name for a style of dance developed in the Middle East and other Arabic-influenced areas. Belly dancing occurs when a person exercises their abdominal area into a movement said to entice its viewers. In this class we will work on technique and combinations adding a touch of jazz and hip hop.. |
Jazz/HipHop with Raelle Dorfan
Using the foundation of jazz technique to stretch and strengthen, we will prepare our bodies to learn dynamic, funky and lyrical combinations, blending European and African influences. Through a tailored warm up and across the floor movements, emphasis will be placed on isolation of body parts, lyrical movement and coordination skills. Students will also be challenge to improve technical and performance skills in a fun energetic environment through short combinations. Modern music of today used, sneakers/jazz shoes required. All levels welcome! |
Jazz/Hip Hop with Nicole La Cour
Jazz/Hip Hop combo class incorporates both styles of dance, linking jazz technique with hip-hop to create a fun, yet challenging class for those willing and anxious to groove and try new things. Dancers will be asked to contribute to the creation of movement phrases throughout the session. Loose, comfortable clothing and jazz sneakers (or flexible street sneakers) are recommended. |

Yogic Arts with April Clark
Yogic Arts™ integrates the core strength and joint conditioning elements of Buddhist Gung-Fu [healing martial arts], the fluidity and purification of Ashtanga Vinyasa [breath-motion yoga], and the healing touch of traditional Thai Therapy [yoga massage].
The Yogic Arts™ system is comprised of the sequencing of classical standing asanas [poses], infused with martial art and modern dance stance integrations, therapeutic kicking drills, a core floor workout, a deeply therapeutic hip and shoulder opening sequence, and a traditional vinyasic finishing practice, which includes elements of Thai massage and guided meditation. Each practice focuses on different aspects of the respective integration of massage, martial arts, and yogic technique, as we explore the evolution of asana and vinyasa [posture and movement]. |

Rhythmics with Ben Hansen
Rhythmics is the main element in Street Beat KIDZ using a street drumming setting inspired by the big theatrical success STOMP!
